Three cachets of Gemini space missions (Titan 6, 7 and 8 flights), including images of rockets and astronauts. Three 5c Flag stamps attached at bottom; one below each cachet. Postmarked at Cape Canaveral: Dec 15, Dec 4, March 16, 1965. Text reads: "Project Gemini" "Series of Ten Manned Spaceflights by American Astronauts" "2,000 Hours 5 Space "Walks" - 1st Rendezvous & Docking" "April 8, 1964 - November 15, 1966".
Historical NoteThe three 5-cent stamps adhered to this sheet were postmarked at Cape Canaveral on the dates of the Project Gemini Titan 6, 7, and 8 launches.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
