Stamp adhered at upper right: 5c Verrazano-Narrows Bridge stamp. Postmarked at: Staten Island NY - Nov 21, 1964.
Historical NoteThis commemorative stamp was issued for the opening of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on November 21, 1964. The Verrazzano Bridge crossed the Narrows, connecting Staten Island with New York City.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
