Physical DescriptionFull sheet of thirty 1'3 JFK memorial stamps. Text across top: "President John Fitzgerald Kennedy Memorial Issue". Complete with selvage edges and plate numbers, "012003".
Historical NoteThe world was shocked by the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and many nations produced memorial stamps to commemorate his life. This stamp set was sent to President Johnson by the Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
