Cachet text: "First Day or Issue", "Man's First Landing on the Moon", "July 20, 1969", "Apollo 11 Astronauts Armstrong - Collins - Aldrin". Four stamps adhered at upper right: Plate block with selvage edges 10c First Man on the Moon stamp. Postmarked twice at: Washington DC - Sept 9, 1969, Moon Landing USA - July 20, 1969. Addressed to: "President & Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson", "LBJ Ranch", "Stonewall, Texas".

Historical NoteThis first day of issue postcard with 4 First Man on the Moon 10-cent stamps was postmarked on July 20, 1969 and September 9, 1969. It was signed by Ralph W. Yarborough.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
