Physical Description
Physical DescriptionOmega gold face pocket watch with black numerals and dials. The chain connecting the watch and fob consists of alternating bars and links. Watch fob is a bas-relief St. Christopher medal. Engraved on reverse: "Lyndon B. Johnson Dec 25 1945 14k".
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson received this watch as a Christmas gift in 1946. At that time, he was travelling frequently representing Texas’ 10th congressional district that included Austin and the surrounding hill country. The fob features St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers.
