Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionWatch with visible internal workings set in gold case. Raised hour markings on the crystal. Maker's inscription on face: "Accutron". Engraved on the back: "Hon. Lyndon B. Johnson V.P.", "Seattle Worlds Fair", "Bulova 14k" and patent number "D16116 M1". Brown alligator band stamped on inside in gold "Accutron".
Historical NoteThis watch was a gift to Vice-President Johnson on the occassion of the closing ceremonies for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Unknown to the public, President Kennedy was in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis at the time, so Vice-President Johnson was to attend in his place, but did not attend on notice that he was afflicted with a cold.Additional Details
