Physical DescriptionNovelty Toy. Souvenir of the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. 2 plastic "cut-out" figures dressed as boxers w/ separately attached arms. Both figures attached to crosspiece w/ lever which causes figures to appear to fight.
Historical NoteThis boxing toy was given via the State Department to President Johnson by his Excellency Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, President of the United Mexican States. It was among a large gift of souvenirs collected for President Johnson during the 1968 Mexico Olympics.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to President Lyndon B. Johnson during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
