Physical DescriptionCartoon from the April 9, 1890 Puck magazine. A man (identifiable as James G. Blaine) uses a bellows (“Wing”) and another man uses a fan (“Pan-American Congress”) to try to revive a woman (“South American Trade”) who has passed out. A boy holds a bottle (“Free Elixir Trade”) and pulls on Blaine’s coattail. Three men watch. Caption: "Sure Cure!". Additional text at upper center: “Puck.”. Additional text at lower right: “J. Ottman Lith. Co. Puck Bldg. N.Y.”. Artist's signature lower left: “K.”.
