Physical DescriptionSingle sheet, printed voter registration form for Amye Middleton. Text reads: "Registration receipt", "State of Texas", "County of Lavaca". Registration is filled in with pencil script.
Historical NoteVoter Registration Receipt of Amye Middleton of Yoakum, Texas, July 6, 1918. Texas women were granted the right to vote in March 1918. In June 1919, Texas became the first state in the South to ratify the federal suffrage amendment.
