Physical DescriptionTwo-sided flier with a print reproduction of a cartoon drawing on the reverse. Single sheet. Side A: "Don’t Shoot Your Congressman Who Voted to Kill O.P.A…" Orange letters on a black. Side B: "Mothers, Fathers…Remember to Vote Next November." Black text and drawing on an orange background. Cartoon: A group of women picket ("Unfair to Housewives") in from of a store ("Butter up 8¢"). The elephant store worker ("COP committee vote to keep oleo tax") at the store entrance watches the women with dismay. Additional text at lower right: "Reprint From The Milwaukee Journal".
Historical NoteThe Office of Price Administration (OPA) was founded in 1941 by Franklin D. Roosevelt to control the price of commodities and rent and place rations on consumer goods. It was dissolved in 1947.
