Physical DescriptionGoldwater mock handkerchief. Political advertising card with attached folded white cloth with gold text: "AuH2O", "Goldwater". Obverse: Black/white photos of Goldwater with orange band at bottom. Brown/white text reads: "Senator Barry Goldwater", "The Republican Choice for '64"." Reverse: Brown/orange text with praying hands at bottom. Text reads: "Think, Speak, Register, VOTE…"
Historical NotePolitical trinkets, like this AuH2O handkerchief, were produced for the 1964 presidential campaign for Barry Goldwater. "Au" is the chemical symbol for gold, and "H2O" is the chemical symbol for water.
