Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man sits on the porch of a cabin surrounded by junked cars. A woman standing nearby says "Mrs. Johnson says they have to go and I say they have to go!". Caption reads: "The Ladies, Bless 'em". Artist signature lower right: "Dahl".

Historical NoteThe Highway Beautification Act of 1965 was an effort led by Lady Bird Johnson to limit billboards and remove junk yards along highways. It was signed by Lyndon Johnson on October 22, 1965.
