Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man hands a woman a tree to be planted. Artist signature lower right: "Stevenson".
Historical NotePresident Johnson signed laws protecting the environment, including urban environments. Lady Bird was also very involved in beautification such as the Highway Beautification Act and the Beautification Project.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
