Historical NoteDuring the attack on Pearl Harbor, Lyndon Johnson was a House representative and member of the Naval Reserve. Afterwards, he volunteered for active duty and was stationed in Australia and provided survey information for Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1942, he went on a bombing mission over New Guinea.
