Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ is a cowboy drawing his gun. Caption: “Alright You Editorial Cartoonists, Draw! Annual AAEC Meeting LBJ Ranch 5/29/71”. Artist signature lower right: "Jack Jurden”. An additional piece of paper “Wilmington Evening Journal” adhered to lower right.
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson liked political cartoons of himself and invited political cartoonists and other press correspondents to his ranch for barbecues in 1964.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
