Historical NoteLyndon Johnson liked and collected political cartoons of himself and kept correspondence with political cartoonists. This cartoon was signed by about 65 cartoonists from American Association of Editorial Cartoonists, many of whom added little drawings and inscriptions.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
