Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Three men are riding a donkey (Dem.) The two men in front ("Senator Johnson" "Speaker Rayburn") are riding normally, but the third man ("Liberals") rides backwards and pulls the tail of donkey. Caption reads: "Very Remote Control". Artist signature lower right: "Jensen".
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower left: "To Senator Lyndon Johnson with best wishes, Cecil Jensen". Handwritten across bottom: "3 col state Wed July 8".
Historical NoteWhen this cartoon was created, Sam Rayburn was the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and then Senator Lyndon Johnson was the Senate Majority Leader.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
