Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man ("Congress") sits on a pile of money inside a chicken coop. An arm ("The Courts") reaches in the doorway to get a frightened chicken ("Bobby Baker"). Artist signature lower right: "Roberts”.
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson served as vice president under John F. Kennedy from 1961-1963. In the fall of 1963, Bobby Baker, a protege of Johnson's, was caught up in several scandals so Johnson distanced himself from him.
