Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ drives a stake through one end of a chain attached to the waists of a man and a woman ("Travelers”). Caption: “Save Your Money to Help Pay Taxes”.
Historical NotePresident Johnson announced plans for a travel tax which would tax Americans traveling outside the Western hemisphere. However, this was shelved in March 1968 by the House Ways and Means Committee.
