Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Patrolman LBJ ("Administration") stops a car ("Management") with two men while two men in another car ("Labor") zoom past. Each car has "$" as a hood ornament. A small piece of paper “The Milwaukee Journal” adhered to lower left. A small piece of paper “All rights reserved 1968 Publishers-Hall Syndicate” adhered to lower left. Caption: “OK, Fella! Where's the Fire?”. Artist signature lower left: "Sanders”.

Historical NotePresident Johnson had the backing of many labor unions and Johnson often intervened in labor disputes and strikes to help negotiate a settlement. Meanwhile Vice President Humphrey was a liberal that co-founded the Americans for Democratic Action and had the support of many labor activists.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
