Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ speaks to a smiling Lady Bird while being fitted by a tailor for a new suit. The suit is covered by a large Presidential Seal, which are also on the boots he is wearing. Caption reads: "Thought I'd Better Get Me a Suit ta Go with My New Boots!" Printed in upper left: "BERRY'S WORLD". Artist signature lower right: "Jim Berry 9-15-65."
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten across bottom: "For LBJ, A great seal for a great President - best wishes - Jim Berry"
Historical NoteIn many political cartoons, Lyndon Johnson is depicted wearing cowboy boots, a part of his Western persona.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
