Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Three men (Harold "Wilson", LBJ, and Charles de Gaulle) are carrying a large bomb while a fourth man (Erhard) rides on top. LBJ carries all the weight, while Wilson and de Gaulle both have one hand on the bomb. Caption reads: "I Want to Go Where You Go, Do What You Do..." Artist signature lower right: "Le Pelley".
Historical NoteDuring the 1960s, the United States kept a lot of military bases, troops, and weapons in Western Europe. When Charles de Gaulle withdrew France from NATO in 1966, he demanded all bases return to the control of France.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
