Historical NoteIn March 1966, Lyndon Johnson met with Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and discussed economic development in India as well as sending aid after the Bihar famine of 1966-1967, which affected Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The famine was caused by a decrease in grain production and rise in grain prices.Additional Details
