Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. An Israeli soldier (identifiable as Levi Eshkol) is in a trench aiming a bazooka with LBJ's face to where one man (identifiable as Aleksey Kosygin) holds a missile and another man (identifiable as Gamel Abdel Nasser) holds a gun. Artist signature lower left: "Zeev”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsStamped at upper right: “11-1-1968”.
Historical NoteLevi Eshkol was the prime minister of Israel. In this cartoon he aims a gun resembling Lyndon Johnson, representing American backing, against Aleksey Kosygin and Gamel Abdel Nasser. Egypt fought Israel during the Six Day War and the Soviet Union was accused of supporting Egypt.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
