Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Frame 1: A man ("Criticism of Foreign Policy") walks across a mat (“Welcome”) into a building (“White House”). Frame 2: LBJ shakes the man's hand saying, "Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!". Frame 3: The man leaves the White House with a limp hand and is disappointed. Artist signature lower left: "De Alba.”.
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson’s ability to persuade and push people into doing what he wanted was referred to as the Johnson Treatment.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
