Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. With a large sack in the back seat, LBJ and Humphrey ride in a carriage ("Great Society") pulled by two donkeys ("House", "Senate"). A shoe is tied to the back of the carriage and drags behind on the floor. In the backseat of the carriage is a large bag. They pass a marker “1965" towards a question mark. Caption: “Moseying On Down the Trail”. Artist signature lower right: "B. Green”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: [blue] “Journal Thurs” “21 Jan 65”. Handwritten at lower right: “55”.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
