Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: "To our President Republicans and Democrats alike. Jack Bender 6/15/68".
Historical NoteIn August 1964, President Johnson signed the Economic Opportunity Act, which created the Job Corps. The Job Corps provided work, training, and education for young people.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
