Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ ("Senator Lyndon Johnson) rides a bucking bronco ("Back to Health") over the outline of the state of Texas. A cowboy nearby cheers him on: "Ride'em Cowboy! You can't keep a good man down". Caption reads: "Deep in the Heart of-". Artist signature lower left: "Ferman Martin".
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: "With best wishes to the Hon. Lyndon Johnson. Ferman Martin".
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson had a heart attack on July 2, 1955.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
