Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Three men (JFK, Humphrey, and "Symington") are all holding hats and standing behind a large circle ("1960 Democratic Candidates"). Historical NoteIn 1960, Senator Johnson was a primary candidate for the Democratic Party to become President of the United States. His political acumen, persuasion skills, and history in the Senate made him a supremely qualified candidate.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
