Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A map of the United States ("Yesterday's vote") is stamped "L.B.J.". A note ("News item The Orlando Sentinel, first newspaper in the United States to endorse Lyndon B. Johnson for the Presidency") is nailed to the map. Caption: “As We Predicted”. Artist signature lower left: "Lynn Brudon Orlando Sentinel”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten across the left: “Bob Howard - Art Martin - If L.B.J. wins - use caption - "As We Predicted - if returns are inconclusive use - We Still Predict”. Handwritten at upper center: “Wed Nov 4th”. Handwritten at lower center: “See note” “-We Still Predict-”.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
