Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A very tall LBJ is leaning heavily on a man's back ("Rayburn") toward a cowgirl ("Western Delegates"). A woman dressed as a Southern belle ("South") casts loving glances at LBJ. Caption reads: "There's Plenty of Me for Everybody"). Artist signature lower right: "Fischetti NEA".

Historical NoteWhen this cartoon was created, Sam Rayburn was the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and then Senator Lyndon Johnson was the Senate Majority Leader. During his time as a Senator, Lyndon Johnson changed from aligning with southern interests to aligning with western ones.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
