Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Before a sign ("'64"), JFK pats LBJ on the back, but LBJ has his hand caught in the jar ("Baker Cookies"). Caption: "That's my boy!". Artist signature lower right: "B. Green”.

Historical NoteLyndon Johnson served as vice president under John F. Kennedy from 1961-1963. In the fall of 1963, Bobby Baker, a protege of Johnson's, was caught up in several scandals so Johnson distanced himself from him.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
