Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ, dressed as a cowboy, is using one hand to lasso several men that are holding a donkey head on a stick. With his other hand, he points a pop-gun toward several men that are holding an elephant head on a stick. Artist signature lower right: "Ivey".

Historical NoteIn many political cartoons, Lyndon Johnson is depicted wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, a part of his Western persona. In this cartoon, President Johnson rounds up the Democratic Party to work together against the Republicans.
