Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ and Sam Rayburn are dressed as cowboys with guns and leaning against the entrance to the 86th Congress. Historical NoteIn 1959, when this cartoon was created, Sam Rayburn was the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and then Senator Lyndon Johnson was the Senate Majority Leader.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
