Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man (identifiable as Barry Goldwater) watches a woman dance and says, "No Exceptions- I'm for defoliation of everything!". Artist signature lower right: "Chuck Thorndike”.
Historical NoteBarry Goldwater supported environmental protection laws such as the Clean Air Act, although he did vote against the 1964 Wilderness Act.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
