Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ looks at a large calendar ("March 12"). The "1" is shaped like New Hampshire and the "2" is a question mark. A small figure in the lower left corner sings, “The eyes of Texas are upon you”. Additional text at lower right: “March 12, 1968 The Boston Herald-Traveler”. Artist signature lower left: "Dobbins”.

Historical NoteA cowboy LBJ looks upon the calendar to the date of March 12th with much anticipation. March 12th was the date of the 1968 New Hampshire primary.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
