Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Smiling soldier LBJ has a little Bobby Kennedy peeping out of knapsack, holding two placards, "LBJ's conducting an immoral war" and "All the way with LBJ!" Caption reads: "Pack up your troubles in your ol' kit bag and smile, smile, smile". Artist signature lower right: "Fischetti".
Inscriptions and MarkingsAt lower right inside the image, above artist's signature: "For President Johnson - Oops this has changed! - Cordially John Fischetti". At lower left of page: "1620" and "Feb 9, 1968".
Historical NoteRobert F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson each represented a different side to the Democratic Party in the 1960s. Robert Kennedy was the Attorney General under his brother’s administration and became a New York senator during Johnson’s presidency. He disagreed with Johnson’s Vietnam policy and became a prominent war critic. Kennedy would later run for president in 1968 as an anti-war Democratic candidate until his assassination in June 1968. "All the way with LBJ" was Johnson's campaign slogan in 1964.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
