LBJ sits at his desk covered with papers ("Strikes”, “War”, “Inflation”, “etc") and looks back at a man ("Nervous Democratic Candidates") holding out a magician's hat and wand. Caption: “Please!--Just One Rabbit Before Election!”. Artist signature lower left: "Morris”.

Historical NoteThe 1966 elections elected the members of the 90th Congress as well as several gubernatorial seats. Those candidates running for office looked to President Johnson to solve some of the many political issues so they would have positive issues to campaign with.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
