Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ speaks to a man (Postmaster-General O'Brien) and points to a letter ("All the Way with LBJ"). An opened envelope ("Ticket to Wisconsin") lays nearby. A cat sitting on the table says, “Neither snow nor rain, not heat, nor gloom-, etc.”. Caption: “Think You Can Put ZIP into This?”. Artist signature lower right: "Vic Runtz news ‘68”.

Historical NotePresident Johnson was up for his second term during the 1968 election, but he would later withdraw from the race on March 31, 1968. "All the way with LBJ" was Johnson's campaign slogan. Lawrence F. O'Brien was Postmaster General and chairman of the Democratic National Convention in 1968.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
