Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. Two beagles with lines and stars emanating from thier ears. One beagle says, "I sure do hope that Lyndon hasn't started another of those nationwide FADS!". Artist signature lower center: "Bill McClanahan - Dallas News".
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten bottom center: "To Lyndon: From one Texas Beagle owner to another with great admiration"
Historical NotePresident Johnson was known to lift his beagles by their ears.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
