Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man (identifiable as Gerald Ford) has shot at LBJ with an old gun. LBJ has deflected it back into Ford's face with a U-shaped tube. A barrel of gunpowder ("Gerald Ford's Blast-a-Day Charges") is nearby and Ford carries a gunpowder horn. Caption: “He's Out to Get Me!”. Artist signature lower left: "Bob Taylor”.
Historical NoteCongressman Gerald Ford was one of the members of Congress who were vocally critical of the Johnson administration's campaign to bomb the North Vietnamese supply lines in Laos.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
