Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing showing LBJ in the guise of FDR delivering a speech titled "LBJ's State of the Union Address" to a group of terrified elephants. Caption: "Its just our imagination -- remember, we have nothing to fear but fear itself." Artist signature lower right: "Bob Taylor".
Historical NoteEarly in his political career, LBJ was a vocal supporter of FDR and the New Deal. Roosevelt often invited LBJ to the White House for private conversations.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
