Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ, dressed as a boxing referee and holding placards, demonstrates four illegal procedures on fighter ("Aluminum Industry"). LBJ says,"None of this....or this....or this....". In the end, LBJ elbows the boxer while he shows his placards("Stockpile Release", "Wage Rise" "Guidelines"). Caption reads: "The Referee".
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at lower right: "For President Johnson, kind regards - John Fischetti 11-26-65". Stamped twice across bottom: "SUNDAY". Handwritten across bottom: "[in red] 580" "[in red and struck out] (456) (611)" "4 cols" "[indecipherable]".
Historical NoteIn 1965, Aluminum companies raised the price of aluminum by 2%. President Johnson negotiated prices for what to do with the government’s aluminum supply.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
