Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ is seen on a wheeled TV cart set upon a world globe. His hand reaches out from the side of the set to catch a bomb ("Last Night's Announcement to Stop the Bombing") in a fishing net. Caption: “Hopeful for Some Net Results”. Artist signature lower right: "Germano Brockton Enterprise 11/1/68”.
Historical NoteIn October 1968, President Johnson announced a complete bombing halt over North Vietnam.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
