Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ sits on top of a globe holding a frying pan over a campfire. The aroma ("Bombing Halt News") drifts away and around the world back to LBJ's nose. Historical NoteIn the week before the 1968 election, President Johnson ordered a full bombing halt in Vietnam. As a result, Hubert Humphrey’s polls became more favorable to him.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
