Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A trick-or-treater (“HHH”) is at LBJ's door on Halloween night. LBJ puts a bomb ("Bomb Halt") in his sack. In the background, a jack-o-lantern, lamp, and house can be seen. In the sky, a witch flies on a broomstick in front of the moon. Caption: “Treat!”. Artist signature lower right: "Germano Brockton Enterprise 10/31/68”.
Historical NoteIn October 1968, President Johnson announced a complete bombing halt over North Vietnam.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
