Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ ties a gag over the mouth of a man ("H.C. Lodge U.S.A.") who is formally dressed and holding a briefcase. Historical NoteHenry Cabot Lodge Jr. was an American ambassador to South Vietnam from 1965-1967. He agreed with President Johnson’s escalation of the war.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
