Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. LBJ holds a screaming baby in military uniform holding a burning piece of paper ("Hell, No! I won't go! Gen Thieu"). In his other hand, LBJ has a baby toy, which depicts a dove with an olive branch on a base ("Paris Talks"). Caption: “​​What--Another Dr. Spock Baby?”. Artist signature lower right: "Hy Rosen”.
Inscriptions and MarkingsHandwritten at upper right: "My best wishes - Hy Rosen '69". Handwritten across the right: “34.5 cm - 12” [illegible] “Nov. 5/68”. Handwritten at lower right: [red] “59.”. Handwritten at lower left: “55”.
Historical NoteThe Antiwar Movement (1964-1973) emerged in response to the Vietnam War and included many activist groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society and the Yippies and used tactics such as mass demonstrations, sit-ins, teach-ins, and guerilla theater. Benjamin Spock was a pediatrician and activist who worked with Martin Luther King Jr. and spoke out against the Vietnam War.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
