Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man ("President Park So. Korea") points to a paper as he talks to an astonished LBJ. Two men behind LBJ express shock. A landscape with a bay, mountains, and vegetation can be seen out the window. Caption: “I Have a New Military Concept--Victory”. Artist signature lower left: "Bob Stevens”. A small piece of paper “Copley Newspapers” adhered to lower left.

Historical NoteDuring the Vietnam War, South Korea sent around 350,000 troops to fight. Park Chung-hee was the President of South Korea.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1973.
