Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A man (identifiable as Mao Tse-tung) holds out a star with an attached ribbon to a scruffy man holding a sign that reads: "Get Out of Vietnam". Caption reads: "And, in the Name of Democracy, I Present to You..." Artist signature lower left: "Crawford NEA".

Historical NoteThe Antiwar Movement (1964-1973) emerged in response to the Vietnam War and included many activist groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society and the Yippies and used tactics such as mass demonstrations, sit-ins, teach-ins, and guerilla theater.
